WHAT IS THE HEDONE SEMINAR?

The Hedoné Seminar is a yearly event organized by the Hedoné e.V. collective. Hedoné is an art movement based on ethical hedonism as well as an NGO that supports victims of female genital mutilation (FGM) by creating a tool called LOVE THE FLOWER and donate it to organizations working to eradicate this cruel practice.
The Hedoné Seminar consists of two parts: theory and practice. The first part of the seminar is dedicated to various activities such as workshops, talks and panel discussions that will explore methods and tools to reach emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical and sexual balance and bliss. We then jointly celebrate the natural pleasures of life in a gala which is, simultaneously, a mass performance against FGM.
WHEN IS THE SEMINAR HAPPENING?

The Hedoné Seminar 2024 will take place between July 24th at 4pm, to Monday 29th at 8pm.
Check-in times to the castle are only possible from Wednesday to Friday between 10am and 22pm. Gates close at 22pm, please keep this in mind when you plan your arrival. Once you enter the event location, it is not possible to go out of the property unless you are leaving for good.

As participating in both theory and practice is a key for a transformation experience, doors will close on Friday 8pm.

WHERE IS IT TAKING PLACE?
​
A beautiful castle surrounded by nature between Leipzig and Halle (1 hour drive). The exact details will be sent by e-mail to the attendees.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
​
Participation is granted upon the completion and evaluation of an application designed to ensure potential participants are aligned with Hedoné´s purpose. Applications to attend the Hedonistic Seminar 2024 PACIFORIA, are now open. Find "events" section in our website menu. Price of an Early Bird ticket is 333 Euros, Regular Ticket will be sold for 444 Euros and Last Minute Ticket price is 555 Euros.
Please read this information till the end, as we assume every participant knows the rules of the game before arriving. Acting against the rules can end up in expulsion and blacklisting of the attendee.
RULES OF THE GAME

Consent is a must.
It is an affirmative, unambiguous and conscious decision by each participant; It is voluntary, and revocable at any times. Consent cannot be given when a person is incapacitated. We do not tolerate any kind of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or abusive behavior. Be the highest, most loving and respectful version of yourself!

Leave No Trace.
Ethical hedonists are protectors of the earth, guardians of the oceans, worshippers of Pachamama. We request you to bring your own cup, water bottle, Plate and Cutlery, if you forget it or lose it, you can buy one from us at the INFO POINT. Single-use plastic is not permitted, also please be aware that no glass is permitted (as it is a barefoot event). If necessary, use bio glitter and always leave places cleaner than you found them.
Smokers: use a portable ashtray and only smoke in designated areas outside the castle.
Be a Hedoangel.
Beautiful souls overseeing that magic and safety are maintained throughout the party, hedoangels are guards of high vibes who take care of the space and one another. Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, harassment or abusive behavior is not tolerated at this event. Anything understood as such, as well as any violation of consent, will not be tolerated and may end in the expulsion of the attendee
Dress code
At Hedoné the attire is not optional but mandatory, please collect at least material in advance and you can get help at the event to create the look. Read carefully the ATTIRE DESCRIPTION in the ticket or event page. You can sign up for Fantasy Lab to create your own headpiece or find perfect pieces at the Bazaar to purchase. For this edition light tones and natural elements are for Saturday for DE RERUM NATURA performance and PINK angelic fluffy creatures are welcome on Sunday for PINK GLORY.
Gifting.
Hedone is a participatory co-creational event. Guests are encouraged to bring and share their gifts with the community. Spontaneous performances, interactive games, gourmet treats, etc… are all welcome and appreciated.. Be your funky avatar!

HOW CAN I GET THERE?
The most eco friendly way to reach the castle from Berlin is to take the bus provided by us or the train (exact details will be sent by mail to the ticket holders). Arrival with private cars is also possible, but parking spots are very limited and not on the premises (10 minutes distance/public). To park inside the castle property you will need to purchase a car pass prior to the event.

WHERE CAN I STAY?
There is a beautiful free camping area surrounding the castle where you can bring your own tent to and enjoy nature. We invite everyone to embrace the comfort of nature and camp. The camping area will have toilets, you will find showers inside the castle.
“Glamping” at Hedonia Camp comes at an extra cost. We also have rooms in the castle available, you will receive a link to book your accommodation together with your confirmation to purchase your event ticket.

DO I NEED TO BRING CASH WITH ME?
We use a cashless system and credit cards, cash and paypal are accepted to top up your bracelet

WILL FOOD & DRINKS BE PROVIDED TO GUESTS?
Food and Beverages are not included in your ticket, Vegan food will be provided for affordable prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For additional nourishment, there will be food and snack trucks on site. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, fresh juices and herbal shots will be sold separately at designated bars.

CAN I BECOME A VOLUNTEER FOR THE HEDONE SEMINAR?
Volunteer registration is now open! Please fill-out and submit your application here.
Volunteers will have to complete 3 shifts of 6- 8 hours during the seminar. Even if a shift coincides with workshops, volunteers are expected to fulfill their shift. Please keep in mind we are a communal effort and our community is committed to a personal participatory ethic. A volunteer deposit of 150 Euros will be required upon acceptance and will be returned upon completion of both shifts within 30 days after the Seminar.

DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
​
We normally have a no-refund policy. However, cancellation of the event due to a worsening of the pandemic scenario will entitle you to use your ticket for a future event or grand a complete refund.

We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, we expect from you to leave any place in a better state than you found it.
